This is where our annual road trippin' tradition got started- Portugal! The late January 2011 we got to Lisbon, and it was the first time for both of us. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! The city seemed to have it all: old romantic parts with their history, waterfronts, hills, shopping districts, bar districts, sights, a beautiful Castello and so forth. But what came as a big stunner, was that Lisbon's very clean and tidy.
For good two days we wandered the city's alleys, and absorbed the beautiful January weather (it got up to +17°)! We almost got lost taking the historical Tram 28, but it was totally worth it! We fell in love with Lisbon, day- and nightlife (Bairro Alto must be one of the best places to go bar hoppin'!!). What can I say more: it's like the San Francisco of Europe! :)
