Up North We Go!

Being lucky enough to get a couple of weeks off (again!), we were able to head up to Finland to our northern home. Taking the time to chill at the summer house by the lake, go in 'n out of sauna the entire day and just enjoy the great company of family & friends was enough entertainment for our stay.

One day we drove to Repovesi Natural Park, which is full of nice hiking trails. Lots of nice rock formations that stem from the last ice age, forests that are quiet and mighty, and lakes that radiate natural  calm beauty. At the end of our trail we had to cross a lake with a cable ferry that is operated by hand- we let Denis do the heavy lifting...
