Paris was waking up from its winter sleep: warm, sunny days and nature starting to show some colors. After weeks of skiing in Finland, it was nice to be able to switch into spring clothes and enjoy the weather by the Seine river banks.
Since my parents were visiting us for more than a week, we had plenty of time to take a little road trip to the valley of Loire to check out some castles.
We had booked a night on a small family winery, and had a cute chambre rustique overlooking the vineyards. Very calm and relaxing place…(included a small wine tasting & purchase possibility, and a delicious breakfast).
The next
day we continued the castle hopping and visited some really charming medieval towns in
the area. We drove back home for the night, and had still few days to enjoy the
spring picnics, terraces and walking around city with my parents ;).
