Taste of Provence

Sep 1, 2013
'I can't believe it's September already' must've been on lots of minds today. To remind ourselves that the summer's not necessarily over yet, we wanted to bring a piece of sunny Provence into our kitchen!

So, either you're not ready to let summer go and need something fresh for the remaining summer days or you're simply just on a lookout for an aperitif that not only tastes good but is relatively easy 'n fast to prepare, here's one for you: Tartine Provençal! It only takes few minutes and tastes oh-so-delicious

Here's what you need:

The Olive Tapenade
1 jar of olives
1/2 jar of capers
few sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
1 clove of garlic
2 teaspoons of olive oil
anchovy (optional)

Blend all of the above in a mixer.

Tomato mix
1 tomato
couple of sun-dried tomatoes

Chop the tomatoes in pieces and mix it up.

Toast some bread and spread the tapenade and the tomato mix on top of it. Finish it off with some fresh persil and either mozzarella or feta!

Serve with a glass of cold rosé and voilà!

Bon appétit!
